Here we count our seasons slightly differently and Wednesday 1 September is our first day of spring. Walking around the neighbourhood this afternoon I saw this nasturtium flower:



But we must be only cautiously enthusiastic about the warmer weather, because that also brings cockroaches and crowded hospital emergency departments:
